It was the Protomen Act 2 release party. It had just wrapped up and there was a sort of dance party going on. I saw a few people dancing up a storm, specifically three dudes all dancing together. I couldn’t recall ever having seen them before in my life but I thought it was HILARIOUS. They left an impression. I know the video is dark and fuzzy, honestly thats how it looked to me in person, too. 

It was Cap Blackard, Josh Thew, and “Triforce Mike” Pandel. 

I was going back looking through old videos and photos because every time I had been to a Protomen concert I saw Mike, so I wanted to see if I had an old photo of him. Turns out, I had video. I never realized it until just now but those men cutting up rugs included a man that later I would hug and call a friend at many other concerts. He danced with my mom at a Protomen concert, defended her honor when there was call, and really left an impression on her as well. He left an impression on everyone.

Mike, you have too much life in you to ever truly die. Your body may have been taken from you but your life will always have an effervescent permanence.  There’s not enough words to describe the pain those who love you feel but it will never outweigh the joy that you’ve given to so many. You have such a legacy in people’s hearts that many of us would be lucky to even touch the heights of. 

PS: There’s a film project I’m working on that only you and few outsiders even know about. We’re going to dedicate it to you because I was so excited for you to see it when its finished and I know you were excited, too. There are people involved that truly love you. We will make sure it rocks, in your honor.
